Jack and Ewan were good little hikers. We went around the lake in under an hour, a good time for having all the kids!! I had Sean on my back and the big boys hiked the whole time. Jack carried his backpack with snacks and the boys' water bottles. The did a good job keeping pace, only needing to run to catch up a few times. We did of course have to stop for snacks once!!
Then it was time to play at the park there. Sean discovered he likes to go down the slide head first. Luckily it ends somewhat flat so he didn't take a header off the slide!! He kept going down the slide and climbing the steps FOREVER. He had a mini meltdown when it was time to go!!
Needless to say after this adventure, lunch at home and more play time outside after lunch they napped quite well! Then after nap they flew airplanes with Daddy (not long though as it was quite windy). they wore themselves out more running all over the open field and trying to catch Mommy and Daddy.
So our new year started out full of activity. After all these boys are active and that is definitely a good thing!!!
This morning it was back to the gym. Time for a new year and more hopes of being in shape. Well actually I am in good shape, just hoping to lose the last of the baby weight. Today's 1020 calorie burn workout should help a little!!
Today the boys wanted to model their new hats. They do make me laugh sometime!! It wasn't all that cold out, but Jack and Ewan insisted on putting on their hats. Sean doesn't keep his on very long. Jack and Ewan have also discovered one tree in the yard that they can climb a little so they really enjoy playing out back.
That sums things up. Just a quick little note for the new year. We'll be doing pretty much the same thing....watching the boys grow before our very eyes, trying to keep them out of trouble, being extremely active. This year we look forward to a trip out West (Ewan's first airplane ride too). Maybe this will be the year I finally get organized with meal plans and finding a way to feed the boys healthily without breaking the bank!
