Christmas Day

Christmas morning was so fun with the boys.  It's a joy to see all their excitement.  They actually managed to sleep until nearly 7!  Josh and I were already showered, dressed and downstairs by the time they got up.  When we heard them I went upstairs and got them ready (aka bathroom trips and diaper change).  Then we went to the gate and headed down.  Needless to say they were incredibly excited to see if Santa came and what was awaiting them downstairs.

They walked slowly down the hall and then eyes wide open dove in.  First it was their stockings and presents from Santa (he doesn't wrap his presents) since they were the easiest and most visible.  Then slowly everyone opened up everything else.  We all "scored" quite well.  I am LOVING my wireless printer and keyboard/mouse (desktop is now hooked up to TV downstairs).  Ya'll don't realize how much time this will save me!!!  Josh is having fun "playing" with all his rc airplane stuff.  And the kids of course are busy....Jack and Ewan's favorite is their remote control cars from Santa and Sean's favorite is his drum/music set (though all three boys play the "marching band" together).

After we all finished and the boys practiced driving their rc cars (a skill they are working on) Josh's folks came over and it was time to open more presents.  The boys were thrilled to get more toys from Cars 2.  After the dust settled, or should I say the wrapping paper thrown out, the boys were busy playing with their millions of cars and entertaining Grandma and Grandpa.

Oma and Opa came over for brunch and we all had such fun.  They boys showed off their rc cars and Sean played a tune or two.  Brunch was yummy as always.  This year we dined on quiche, fruit, mini biscuits, orange cranberry pound cake with a hot butter rum sauce and of course mimosas (another LONG STANDING family tradition) and sparkling juice for the boys and Grandpa.

The rest of the day was spent playing with toys, taking pictures, hooking up new electronics....  Dinner was delish too (simple standing rib roast, sweet potatoes and broccoli) and then it was time to wind down for bed.

Hope ya'll had a very Merry Christmas!!!

This big guy was hungry!!!!  Finally got his appetite back just in time for Christmas!

Christmas Eve at Oma and Opa's

Christmas Eve we all(the five of us plus Josh's parents) headed to Oma and Opa's after nap time.  We enjoyed some yummy munchies (love the horseradish cheese spread) and pizza dinner (a LONG STANDING family tradition).  This year the pizza was not homemade due to Oma's knee treatment the day before, but it was still yummy and the company even better.

The boys enjoyed playing with Opa and Chloe.  Sean was having a blast getting Chloe kisses!!  And of course who could forget presents.  Jack, Ewan and Sean all did quite well and loved everything they got.  They are really enjoying having a bag for their toys in the car that they can reach!  Today they were thrilled to wear their new bike shirts for hot chocolate with Oma AND Opa (and shoe shopping for Jack too, another story).  Oma does a great job of finding them things they love without always being toys (OK, so sometimes I help with ideas).

After a fun evening with both sets of grandparents the boys went home and spread out their reindeer food (Jack made some at school and his teachers were so sweet and sent a bag home for each of the boys).  Then they put out some cookies for Santa and carrots for the reindeer.  After bath it was off to bed, awaiting Santa's arrival!!

FYI:  The insisted on wearing their Packers and Badgers shirts from Emmie M.  I was going for something more festive, but they would not hear of it!!  THANKS Emmie M, you made their day!!!

Sean enjoying his Cloe kisses!
