My Two Clowns

We always knew Jack and Ewan had big feet, and last night just proved it.  We took both boys to get new shoes and they look like they are both wearing clown shoes!!  Jack is already up to size 12 and Ewan size 10!!  That is absolutely enormous.  At least they do come by it honestly, Daddy and Mommy both have big feet, but probably not THAT BIG!

In other news Jack and Ewan also enjoyed their first day of soccer yesterday.  We've got a great group of friends that formed our own soccer group so it's less organized than official lessons.  The boys had fun in the beginning, kicking the ball into the goals and kicking the ball around.  As more kids arrived though everyone got distracted. The kids discovered the chickens (it's at a house out in the country) and had to chase them.  Then they all wandered off to the playset out back and that was it for soccer.  Jack and Ewan definitely enjoyed it though and kept telling Daddy about kicking the ball at their soccer game!!!

Also just found out the Weitzel Thanksgiving will be in Atlanta this year.  Can't wait for that!!  I told Jack it would be at Mary Kate's house and he got excited about seeing her again, and Jake too.  D3 will only be two months old so it will likely be our first trip with three kiddos....and Atlanta is as far as I'm willing to go!  Definitely no long road trips on our future!  It should be fun though, we'll be up to 7 kids (Greg and Nancy's 4 and our 3)!!

Waddle Waddle

Josh had the nerve to inform me today that I've started to show the pregnant waddle!!  Well, actually it's no surprise I guess.  Somehow this pregnancy is worse than the others, even though I'm still not officially full term.  I feel like my belly is about to explode.  I just can't imagine keeping this monster inside for another 4 weeks!!!  We'll see if I actually go into labor with this one....long as it isn't until after this weekend since Oma and Opa are out of town for a family funeral.

In other news the boys continue to grow like weeds.  The love to climb everything.  They had fun at MyGym last week...Jack tried out the rock climbing wall.  He still isn't quite tall enough, yet somehow he managed to climb up a little bit.  They both love to climb all the way up the ladder wall, and quite quickly at that!

We survived last week, just barely.  Josh had to work 4AM-4PM so it was a bit rough.  Trying to keep the boys quiet when Daddy went to bed before them was a difficult task.  So of course they chose last week to  be extra loud and feisty at bedtime!  Needless to say by Friday I was exhausted.  Between staying up later with the boys and D3 kicking up a storm I wasn't sleeping much.

Last weekend the boys had a trial run with Oma and Opa...they spent the night at their house to get ready for D3's arrival.  The boys did pretty well and  Oma and Opa survived.  I think they needed a little rest after they dropped off the boys!  Jack and Ewan can keep a person busy!!!  Just wait until they have the boys for several days....they'll need a vacation after that!!

Josh and I didn't get much rest though...somehow we were just as tired without the kids as with them!  We headed up to Charlotte and decided which bed and mattress set to order.  We went out to a great restaurant we saw on Diner, Drive-Ins and Dives.  Had some fabulous fish tacos!!  Then after at least sleeping in Sunday morning we were busy steam cleaning furniture (not the best job for a huge preggie!!) and putting together night stands and tidying up wall damage from the boys.

The good news is that yesterday we had a slight temp and humidity drop.  I was able to take the boys to the park in the morning for two solid hours of play and fun.  Plus we were able to play outside afer dinner.  What a luxury!!  Looks like this trend may continue for a few more days.

That's pretty much life here.....surviving a monster baby and keeping the boys out of as much trouble as possible!!!

Family Tradition Continues.....

Seems D3 wants to follow in big brothers' footsteps and be a BIG baby!!!  I've been telling everyone I feel bigger this pregnancy and now I have proof...went to the doc this morning and I'm ALREADY measuring FULL TERM!!!!  That's right, 7 weeks ahead of schedule.  Another 5 weeks to grow this monster inside of me!!

Got an ultrasound to check that everything was OK.  D3 is measuring 6lb 13oz +/- 1 lb.  That is in the 93%. Fluid levels were high, but not alarmingly high.  So as the doc said, it will be another large Dalrymple baby, not freakishly large baby!!  Yes, we've already got a family reputation to live up to at the office!!!

Me, I'm ready to get this baby out NOW.  Guess we'll have to keep waiting.  Again, 5 more miserable weeks of growing bigger and  bigger!

This is one ACTIVE baby too.  The other night D3 kicked STRONGLY for 3.5 straight hours.  Not a moment's rest.  I'm determined it is another boy!

Baby Mode

The boys are preparing for baby brother/sister.   They had me strap in their animals and practiced gently bouncing and swinging their "babies".  It is rather cute to watch!!!

We're down to 6.5 weeks and still not soon enough for me!  The heat is insane and I feel miserable nearly all the time, just a matter of how miserable.  Luckily our beach vacation is in sight and I can FINALLY relax a little.  There will be enough adults to take care of the boys and I will have some time to myself!!  No cooking (guys are all in charge of that for this week) or cleaning.  Plus I'll get pampered by the best....hubby, Oma and Emmie M!!!  Yeah me!!

Final countdown continues.  Josh raised the crib yesterday so clean sheets and bumper are all on now.  All we need before baby arrives is white diapers (will wait for colors once we know gender), stroller and bottle drying rack.  Think everything else will wait til after we know if it's a boy or girl!  Better double check my list....getting extremely forgetful lately!

I've had practice though....a friend just had a baby girl last week.  I took them dinner and dessert Friday night and help their new LITTLE girl.  She was adorable!!  Seemed like a premie to me though, she was only 6lb. 10 oz!!!  What a cutie though and big brother was proud.  Learning even more this pregnancy too...there is now the coolest website out now....one where you schedule meal deliveries.  Friends and family sign up for a certain night and list what they'll bring, you list your likes/dislikes.  It's so useful...there really is a website for everything!!  We'll maybe not everything....still need a registry site that compiles a list of items you need from different websites instead of just one store.  We need things from various web sites, not a single store....oh well, didn't have a shower this time around anyway.  How many gender neutral things do you  really need?!

D3's new cloth diapers.  So little, well actually they fit all size kiddos,
but folded down to infant size they're so small!!!  Need lots more
of these.

Newborn diaper vs. Ewan's diaper (size 4).  How small is that?!

Baby Time

Had another OB appointment today......and we are being put on the calendar for a delivery of September 22 at 7:30AM.  Another baby on the 22nd, assuming we don't get bumped again!  That's 7 weeks from today, not soon enough for me.  I'm ready NOW!

Not much else going on here, just trying to survive the heat.  The boys are still going stir crazy not being able to play outside much and I'm going crazy trying to keep them out of trouble.

Friday night Jack was finally able to pedal his bike by himself!  He is quite proud of himself, as are Mommy and Daddy!!

D3 got his/her first pressie, thanks Oma!  I'm sure we'll get lots of use out of the bouncy.

We tested out the new cloth diapers on Ewan and LOVE them so once D3 is born we'll definitely need lots more of them.

I'd say that sums up life here!!  Let the countdown begin......
