We had such a lousy start to the morning, I had to question if it was Monday. Things were running pretty smoothly when we left for the gym just after 8:30 this morning. We were so close to the gym, and then I hear one of the dreaded noises that a mother just knows. Sean spit up, but not just a spit up, more like he threw up his entire breakfast. Luckily he only had a bottle, no food to go with it.
After I parked I the gym I was able to fully assess the damage. It was as I suspected...Sean coverd all over in spit up, clothes, bare legs and everything else. His car seat was disgusting too. I began the clean up. I took Sean out and took off his clothes immediately. Then it was off to the back of the car for a wardrobe change. I put a spare burp cloth in the car seat to cover/soak up the mess and we were off.
THEN when I was dropping off the boys at the gym so I could enjoy my workout Jack decided to have a meltdown. Out of nowhere he decided he wants to play with Mommy and doesn't want me to leave. Great, he loves me, but I want to go!!! After some long talking I gave him some books to read and he calmed down somewhat. By then Sean is also crying. He also doesn't usually do that. Why is everything happing all at once?? Conspiracy against Mommy I tell ya!
I gave up and left, told them if things didn't improve to just come get me off the elliptical. Luckily I was able to enjoy my workout and nice long hot shower. They must have recovered and improved their attitudes. Of course when I went to pick them up Sean was asleep. He NEVER sleeps there anymore!! Such a strange day it was. We made it out and just as we are approaching the car Jack trips and falls while he is running. The screaming begins and we get to the car to assess his damage. Two skinned knees and one upset little guy. I managed to calm him down finally and put on some Neosporin and two Scooby Do band-aids. Granted, they were too small, but it would do until we got home.
This was all before 11AM!!! So that is a morning in the life of the Dalrymple Clan!!! One of our more hectic ones, certainly not a calm one. I personally am hoping they nap forever today, but deep down I know that is not true.

Finally a chance to breathe....
Everyone is well here after all the excitement over the weekend so I finally have a chance to sit and breathe, thus time to update the blog.
Here are a few pictures from our last full day at Tybee Island. We went on a dolphin tour and had such fun. All three boys enjoyed their first boat ride, as did their cousins! We saw dolphins and lots of seagulls.
Then Friday night Josh and I got a date night! Thanks to Aunt Susan, Uncle Kenny and cousins for watching the boys. We enjoyed the best meal of the week. We had a scallop appetizer and shared pistachio crusted tuna seared to rare perfection with sweet potato suffle and great veggies. That's my kind of meal...don't go to the coast and waste your meals out on anything else. It's all about the seafood!!!!
And in other news Sean and I passed our doc visits. Monday I had my annual physical and passed with flying colors. Sean had his 9 month visit today and also passed. He weighs 20lb 14oz (50%) and is 30 inches tall (95%). That's our big guy, keeping up the family trend!
Our hot summer continues and the boys look forward to camp at the gym in July. I look forward to spending the 4th of July in the mountains to cool off a little, hike some trails and enjoy some great waterfalls! Now it's time to look forward to next year's vacation....Weitzel family reunion in Oregon for my aunt and uncle's 50th anniversary. How does one pack for three small kiddos on a long flight??!!

Welcome Home
The madness continues!!! Yesterday morning we left the island shortly after 9. The boys were loud for a while, but eventually everyone napped. We stopped for gas and an early lunch at Chick Fil A. It was crowded when we got in....guess everyone headed to the beach or coming from the beach was stopping there. LOTS of families (after all it's a decent place to get fast food for kids AND let them play). Josh took the big boys potty and I got in the long line for food.
All was good. We ate and the crowd grew. The big boys were playing and the crowd was HUGE....I got in line for the bathroom which took a while. We finally managed to get everyone fed finally headed out. No sooner are we on the road and Jack and Ewan announce they are hungry. What pigs!!! What will we ever do when they are teenagers?!
We arrived home just before 2PM. Josh unloaded the car, I fed Sean. In what seemed like forever I managed to unpack absolutely everything and put it all away AND make a quinao salad....by 3:30 the boys and I headed to a birthday party. What a busy day!!!
All the boys had a blast at the party. Jack and Ewan had such fun in the hot tub. Sean enjoyed the baby pool. We ate and socialized. It was great fun. Josh stayed home to get a little work down. We got home shortly after 8 and it was time to get ready for bed. I did dishes....and FINALLY by 9PM I was able to sit down and "relax" a little bit.
Then the fun began. Jack and Ewan both got up once. When they are overstimulated they never seem to sleep well. But that wasn't enough. Around 3AM Jack woke up again. While in the hallway on the way to his room I could hear it.....he was vomitting. GREAT! So I had to change his sheets....absolutely no fun changing the top bunk in the middle of the night. Luckily vomitting didn't scare him as it has in the past and he did quite well and was ready to go back to bed, so was I. Then maybe 30 minutes later he did it again. This time we took him downstairs. I sat and watched TV with him for a short while. Went to bed again. AND then AGAIN!!! I believe all in all this happened four times!!! So I was up from about 3AM to maybe 5:30 or so since it took me forever to fall asleep. Then of course Jack was up and ready to go by about 7:15 and the other boys shortly thereafter.
WELCOME HOME!!! And better yet, Happy Father's Day Daddy!!!

Photographing the Dalrymple Circus
Still having problems uploading the second video...but here are pics from tonight's photo shoot with the entire Dalrymple clan. Enjoy!!
Beach Boys
The gang continue to enjoy their time on the beach. It will be difficult going home, they will miss it terribly. Here are more pics from this morning, which by the way was perfect for the beach (poured last night and still overcast, not too many people there).
Josh's fortress....hard to make without the boys destroying it!
Snack break!
So how does sand taste anyway??
Helping Daddy...and I use the word help loosely!!!
Sean getting ready to destroy Josh's work!
Check out Sean's buff beach body!!!!!
Ewan checking out a jellyfish.
Boys will be boys....throwing sand.
Still searching for a photo of all three boys looking nicely at the camera!!!!
Maybe before we leave we'll get that ellusive shot!!
