House Hunting Adventures

Picture a Prius with Mommy and three boys in car seats in the back...in the rain, trekking across rural South Carolina in the hopes of finding a new place to live.

Yesterday the boys and I headed out to scope out some houses and a piece of land.  The two houses are definitely out of the question.  I can handle somewhat rural, but these two were out in the middle of flat farm country.  Absolutely nothing anywhere nearby and flat as could be.  What a shame too because one of the houses was absolutely beautiful.  Location does matter!

The piece of land does have potential though.  Also found more land online yesterday.  Time to reconsider building.  Such a saga trying to relocate!!!

Not so big???!!

As some of you heard already, I'm not so sure the doc's office got it right Monday.  They had Sean in the 20% for weight.  That just can't be possible!!!  Also in the 90% for length.  I think I'll measure him tonight at bath time to make sure they got it right, certainly he must have had an arm or leg out of the scale when they weighed him!!!

His shots gave him a nasty case of diahhrea again, so of course another bad rash.  That's messing with my plans for his handsome little tushie....his new diapers just arrived but he is in disposies since his tush is covered in cream.  Hopefully in the next day or say we'll get a cute pic!!

Nutella anyone??

Here is Ewan at breakfast this morning!!  Time to go to the strore, out of cereal and granola, their favorites.  So they had toast with Nutella and peanut butter....yummy but oh so messy!!  It's a cute picture, but at the time it wasn't so cute when they were making such a mess!!!!

Action Packed Weekend

It's been a very busy and long weekend.  Josh still took Friday off even though we cancelled Ewan's surgery (his eye has now been clear for two weeks)!  So Friday was family fun day.  We went out to breakfast and then to EdVenture.  The boys had such a blast with Daddy at the museum.  And then it was out to lunch too, big day for us!!

Needless to say they were exhausted, but somehow they still had a little energy to play outside before nap time.  It was an absolutely gorgeous day here in sunny South Carolina.  Later that evening when we went on a walk they stopped by their friend's house and played for a while too.

Saturday was St. Pat's in Five Points.  We headed down for the parade on another beautiful day.  Jack and Ewan had so much fun....the marching bands, Shriner's cars, dogs, horses, corvette club etc.  They were way too cute...at first Jack kept putting his arm on Ewan's should, pointing things out to him. He also made sure Ewan didn't cross the white line and go into the street.  They also LOVED getting candy and beads!!!  Sean had a great time watching his brothers and the parade.

We also went to the carnival there.  Jack and Ewan enjoyed the bouncy slide and a train ride.  We then headed to a new hot dog place.  Big hit with the boys.  Jack even enjoyed ordering his own (shall I say his second)!!!  He paid for it too!  Then it was time for nap (needless to say everyone fell asleep on the way home).

Today was somewhat calm.  Josh went dirt biking so I was with the boys for the morning.  It was a bit much, they were so full of it.  Things calmed down after lunch and we took a walk.  Then this afternoon EVERYONE took LONG naps, finally catching up from the whole weekend.  By everyone I mean all the boys (Daddy included).  I got a very short nap, better than nothing I guess.

Enjoy some pics....notice Sean's new haircut.  I gave him his first haircut earlier this week....couldn't stand the long look any longer!!  By this age Jack and Ewan had already lost their baby hair.  Sean's has thinned, maybe he won't lose it all, we'll just have to wait and see.

Sean's new big boy look!

The excitement, what is coming next??!!

Ewan enjoying his blue lollipop....notice the grease on his fingers too!!!

Proudly sporting their beads!

WEEEEEEE!!

LOVING the train ride and ringing the bells!!

Randomness

So where to begin....life is so incredibly hectic and chaotic around here.  We are STILL looking for a house and STILL trying to sell a house.  It seems to be an impossible situation.  I just want to move and be done with it.  Right now is preschool registration time and I haven't a clue what to do.  Do I register here or in Sumter???  Deposits are non-refundable so I don't want to waste money registering for both cities.  Which preschools??  And then there is summer camp.  IF we are still in Columbia I want to register Jack and Ewan for a couple weeks of camp at the gym.....but will we be here???  Pre-registration discounts end in April.  Seems everything is at a standstill while we WAIT!!!  This is extremely frustrating.  What if it all happens too late and we can't get into any preschool programs?  I HAVE TO BE RID OF ONE CHILD NEXT YEAR!!!  This whole living day to day thing is getting way too old and cramping my organizing/planning lifestyle!

So what else....well of course the boys are all growing way too quickly.  They are all still very tall for their ages.  Sean is going to be 6 months soon, where does the time go??  He is eating rice cereal and will start regular baby food shortly....I do so hate the baby food stage.  Talk about messy!!

Ewan is still doing relatively well potty training.  Jack is, well shall we say full of it!  He certainly knows how to get into trouble. Today Jack and Ewan got into the formula while I was upstairs changing Sean's diaper!  Good thing I love those little guys because they certainly do get on my nerves sometimes!!!  When they have a bad day it is really bad and ALL day.  At least the weather is improving and they can run off some energy outside.

Let's see...what else can we come up with.....time to get ready for Easter I guess.  I've come up with several ideas for the boys, just need to decide what to get them.  Jack and Ewan could use some new backpacks, they have worn out their current ones.  I found some really cute ones on Etsy.  And for Sean I found some GREAT cloth diapers, absolutely adorable patterns.  I'll probably get them before Easter though.  Just need to narrow it all down, I could go crazy!  Buying stuff for them is fun, but at ya'll know we don't want to spoil them.

Time is flying by...already almost Uncle Nick's birthday and them my birthday and anniversary!  Guess I already know what I'm getting...we just got 6 chairs to go with the dining room table Josh is building.  So that will be my present.  Nothing exciting, but yet much needed.

Right now the gym is my lifesaver...time away from the kids AND a great workout!!  It's time to crack down and get rid of the baby weight.  Needless to say 3 c-sections in less than 3 years did a number on my body!  It would be nice to fit into my pre-kiddos clothes, especially by this summer!  We'll see how that goes.  It's a shame to have a closet full of great clothes and not be able to wear them.

Better get going, time to enjoy the last of my quiet time before the munchkins wake up.  They do have to cutest smiles ever!!!  They may all have their own unique look, but they all have the cutest smiles every....and long full eyelashes too!!  My handsome little hunks!

Life is so Complicated....

Why is it so extremely difficult to move??!!  The house we originally had an offer on was an option again; the owners found private financing.  So we gave them our info since we were still interested, however, we later found out the owners are broke.  Not normally a problem, EXCEPT when the house has an oil tank leak.  They obviously couldn't afford to fix the leak, and we clearly will not take ownership of a house with a leak.  So now it is no longer an option again.  Back to square one.....still can't sell, still can't find a house.  We're bummed and sick of house hunting!

In other news, Ewan is still doing pretty well potty training.  We've had lots of accident free days.  But then of course yesterday during a playdate he had two accidents.  There's just something about a playdate that distracts kids....it's not like he drank more than usual and the accidents were so close together, he doesn't usually go that close together.  Oh well, in the grand scheme he is still doing great, better than Jack did.  Not even one naptime accident!!

All the boys continue to grow way too quickly.  Should I ever find the time I still need to work on Jack's warmer weather wardrobe.  I've seen cute things all over....Crazy 8, Old Navy etc.  Just need to find the time to get out and get him the clothes.  There's something about boys in a polo shirt!  I may not have girls to dress cutely, but boys in a polo are just as adorable!  And talk about getting big, they are all massive!!!!!!!!

So much for quiet time.....Jack is up again.  Will update again later!
