Happy 4th Birthday Ewan
Yesterday Ewan celebrated his birthday. He was quite excited to have his birthday on Thanksgiving Day and to have family in town. It was an action packed day. He had tons of fun and was a good boy!! Here are some pictures of him opening presents first thing in the morning.

Christmas Card Photo Shoot
Today we worked on pictures for our Christmas cards. Here are some of the shots that did not make the cut. Look in your mailboxes soon for the ONE that did make it!! The individual shots of the boys did not turn out very well so it is just one of all three together. It is so HARD to get them all, whether alone or together with nice smiles and looking the same direction!!!
Preschool Thanksgiving Program
Now that we are hooked up to the internet better it is time to catch up! Last Wednesday was the boys' Thanksgiving program at preschool. After I dropped them off I helped setup and enjoyed watching all the kiddos practice their songs. They are too cute for words! Then Oma and Opa arrived and brought Sean. We enjoyed a wonderful program and then dined on a yummy Thanksgiving feast. Ewan was my performer. Last year Jack barely sang, yet Ewan this year at the same age sang everything and had all the hand movements down too. He was great and very proud of himself!! The kids all played for a while and then it was time to go. This year their best friend Christian goes to the same school (full day program though) and they were thrilled to eat with him!!
Should I remember to get around to it....I might post a few of the video clips from their performances.
My three handsome little guys before we go to school.
Ewan practicing all the songs.
Jack at practice.
The whole school, well nearly! Too wide to fit all in easily.
Jack and Ewan during the actual program, now with their hats on.
My little performers.
Sean enjoying his treat after turkey lunch.
Three happy boys!

Long time, no update
To say things have been busy lately is putting it lightly! So here are the basic and simple updates. Jack and Ewan still LOVE school to pieces. YEAH! Sean is enjoying his time without his brothers, but he does get jealous of them going to school without him.
Jack is still my GQ boy, Mr. Fashion. That causes meltdowns when I won't let him where what he wants. Ewan is still pretty mellow and laid back. Sean is getting his two year old attitude and testing his limits. Potty training WAS going well. About two weeks ago he decided he does not care to poop in the potty. NOT making Mommy happy!! This combined with DIRTY clothes from playing outside means I am doing at least one load of laundry a day!!!
Josh is still building the garage...and I am now an official "crew" member too. I helped put up more than half of the trusses. This past weekend we also started putting up the sheeting on the roof. Guess I should update my resume now!! Who knew I could do construction work??!!
Between school, the gym our playgroup, birthdays, Halloween, raking leaves and building a garage there is no spare time! And now we are getting ready for Josh's eye surgery followed by a big family Thanksgiving at our house. Can't wait to see all the family again!
And of course I spent 3 hours and 56 minutes voting last week. Like I had that kind of spare time! Thank goodness for Oma coming to the rescue to watch the boys. They NEVER would have made it through a line that long. Don't even get me started on this topic....
I believe that sums up our lives for now. More updates to follow soon....assuming our internet connection lasts (it's been VERY SKETCHY for several weeks, another reason for the lack of blog posts).
Enjoy some garage pics....

Birthday Bash
Yesterday Jack and Ewan had their joint birthday party with all their friends. It was the first time we finally outgrew parties at home. With about 25 children PLUS adults it just was not going to happen! So we had their party at the Jewish Community Center where we go all the time anyway since I workout there.
It was definitely a change of pace having an afternoon party....no cooking to do since I always used to cook everything for lunch and snacks. Plus I did not have to clean my house any more than usual or clean up afterwards! Definite perks!! It was, however, tricky making sure to pack everything we would need there. It also required two cars since my car isn't too terribly big.
The kids mostly played out on the playground. The banged and bashed a pinata, snacked, ate cake and had lots of fun. The weather was absolutely perfect for outdoor play too.
And best of all, we collected lots of goodies for the Children's Hospital. We have always had a no gift policy in the past and this year I decided Jack and Ewan were both old enough to understand charity. So instead of presents we asked our guests to bring something for the hospital. The boys and I will deliver everything tomorrow and make some sick children very happy. I am proud of my boys, they haven't complained once about not getting presents at their party.

The favor table...Halloween cups with stickers, tatoos and LOTS of candy!
Ewan's spider cake (chocolate with chocolate ganache and Heath bits)
Jack's pumpkin cake with spiders and candy corn
Sean taking a swing at the pinata
Ewan's turn to take a swing!
The boys listening to everyone sing "Happy Birthday"
This is one excited boy!!
Ewan is waiting patiently
It took Ewan several blows to get them out, two cakes is hard work!
All our goodies to take to the hospital tomorrow!
THANKS EVERYONE!!!

Halloween Celebrations
There is never enough time to post all our activities this time of year. Somehow it seems we are busier at Halloween time than Christmas! Here are pictures from several of our outings these past couple of weeks (Halloween party with friends, Boo at the Zoo and Trick or Treating in our neighborhood with friends).
Could not get a good shot of the full moon and the kids!
