Today Sean and I had another outing to the lab while Oma and the big boys went to the gym. Somehow this week is already busy even though I planned on staying home and taking it easy!! Anyway, Sean passed his test today so we don't need to worry about doing anything special for his jaundice. He did spend some time in the sunshine this afternoon which he enjoyed.
Here are a few more photos from today. I finally managed to get some of all three boys together...though I look forward to our photo session this weekend when the photographer can do something better than me!!

First Doctor Visit
Sean is recovering from his first trip to the doctor's office, as am I!! We went in this morning for his follow up visit. He weighed 9lb. 14.5oz. An acceptable weight loss, however, still jaundiced. He didn't care for the rectal temp check.....pooped all over the place and peed too!!!! We crammed ourselves into the office, quite a sight with me, Oma and 3 boys! Time was getting late to while I waited for Sean's shot Oma took the boys to the gym for her. After Sean got his shot I took him next door to the lab at the hospital for his jaundice bloodwork. After waiting to register and then waiting at the lab Sean got pricked in the foot. For some reason he was a VERY SLOW bleeder so it took some time to get an adequate sample. By then he was extremely fussy and hungry. Luckily the gang was done at the gym and picking us up so no more waiting.
We got home and I fed Sean. By the time I got lunch (luckily I packed some for the boys, forgot something for myself) it was after 2PM!! Then it was nap time....I was exhausted since Sean had a rough night and the boys were getting extremely obnoxious, aka tired. It took them a while to settle down but finally we all managed to nap. Of course I hadn't been asleep half an hour before the doc's office called to let me know we would have to go to the lab again tomorrow AM since Sean's levels were high. Barely fell asleep again and then Cosmo barked at the UPS truck. Not much nap today!! Luckily we had Oma with us from 8:45-5:30 today. I don't think we would have survived otherwise.
Hopefully things will go better tonight. And then tomorrow Sean and I will be at the lab AGAIN while Oma and the boys are at the gym for yoga. Another action packed morning!!
Plus Josh had his first day at his new job. Busy day for everyone! He survived his day too, adjusting to a longer commute. The boys will have to get used to Daddy being home less until we move closer to work. Adjustments for everyone right now!!

Day 4
Our "little" man is already 4 days old!! Still didn't manage to take the pictures I wanted to do...lousy natural light today.
So here are a couple other pics until then....
Oh yeah, another funny tidbit....Jack watched me change Sean's diaper the other day. He announced "I don't like black bellybutton"!!! It was too funny. We've explained that it will fall off soon, but I don't think he understands that. Any time we mention changing Sean's diaper or clothes Jack still lets us know he doesn't like his black bellybutton!!

Sean's First Full Day Home
Somehow there just aren't enough hours in the day....I intended to get pictures of all the boys today and it just didn't happen! So here are two pictures of Sean in his pack 'n play today....he spends his days napping there in the dining room so I don't have to go up and down the stairs all day.
Hopefully tomorrow I'll be able to get pictures of all the boys together and some of just Sean....need to work on his announcement picture!

Brotherly Love
Proud big brother Jack
My three sons!
Ewan and Sean studying one another
Melt my heart....big brother Ewan kissing Sean!!
Baby brother Sean checking out Jack
Sean Declan Dalrymple
Here are some fun facts about our newest addition. He is indeed a handsome "little" guy like his big brothers. Sean breaks Jack's record and is now my biggest baby yet. Who knew it was even possible??!! I knew he felt bigger but just didn't think it was possible, especially since he was born 2.5 weeks earlier than Jack was!!
Sean doesn't look much like either big brother. His hair is lighter for starts. Jack and Ewan had jet black hair while Sean's is dark brown with blond highlights/frosted tips. His eyebrows and eyelashes are also blond so we'll have to wait and see what he will look like when he is older. Sean's eyes are also more blue so we'll see if they stay that color or not (Jack is now hazel and Ewan is brown eyed).
Despite his size, Sean is not a big eater!! He went 9 hours between feedings last night!!! He really likes his sleep and is impossible to wake for mealtime.
And of course his name....as a refresher Jack is a namesake for his paternal great grandfather John, middle name Killian (only name Josh and I could agree on). And Ewan is a scottish name Josh and I both liked (in honor of the Dalrymples) with middle name Joseph after his maternal great grandfather. So now Sean Declan....he isn't named after anybody specific. His names are both irish in honor of his maternal grandmother's family. And by the way, had he been a girl he would have been Anne Marie (my sister's middle name and my middle name).
That about does it for fun facts about Sean. We will work on more photos later today. Right now Jack and Ewan are enjoying some Daddy time so we'll get family pics once they make it back to the hospital!

It's Another Boy!!!
Well most of us were right....another BIG BOY!!! We arrived at the hospital a little early, after who could sleep? Got all prepped only to be told shortly after 7:30 that we would have to wait until 12:30 for surgery. Needless to say I was let down, another 5 hours to go!!!
Anyway, Sean Declan arrived early this afternoon weighing in at 10lb. 12.5oz. and 22.5 inches long. That's right, a new family record!!! I knew he felt big, but I didn't think anybody could outweigh Jack!!!
Jack and Ewan were intrigued with Sean at first but didn't want to hold him. They didn't last long though since it was nap time. They returned after nap, ate Moe's in the room for dinner and then had fun holding Sean. They were adorable!!!!
Enjoy a few pics....

D3 Baby Pool
So here are the guesses for D3's stats.......
Gretchen: Boy, 9lb 10oz., 22 inches
Josh: Boy, 9lb. 11oz., 22 inches
Oma: Boy, 9lb. 8oz., 22 inches
Opa: Boy, 9lb. 9oz., 21 inches
Uncle Nick Nick: Girl, 8lb. 9oz., 18 inches
Emmie M: Boy, 9lb. 15oz., 22 inches
Mr. Dan: Boy, 8lb. 2 oz., 21.5 inches
We'll find out soon enough who is closest!! Needless to say there is consensus that it will be a boy. Guess it will be a shocker if it does turn out to be a girl!!!
Feel free to leave a comment if you've got a guess too and we'll update the pool!
***Note update to Uncle Nick Nick's guess...he had a dream this morning and is thinking outside the box!!

One Week and Counting
Had my last OB appointment this morning!! I tried to get the doctor to take this monster out soon since I'm absolutely miserable, but he thought we should stick with the original date. Oh well, one more week of suffering. Somehow I'll survive this....4 work days and 2 weekend days with Josh to help!
Somehow this baby seems bigger than either of the boys and I'm not even done yet. I swear there is no more room for baby to grow, but yet somehow it does! Moving around is getting near impossible and the boys know it!
Yesterday was Josh's birthday. The poor guy got a bum deal. He had a full day of work, came home for an hour and then had a dinner/meeting. By the time he got home we put the boys to bed and then our new bed was delivered (late of course)! No birthday cake or birthday dinner! We'll have to celebrate this weekend. Things are just so insane around here lately.

More Beach Pics
Time flies and there just isn't time to do everything, especially when I'm extremely exhausted and sleep deprived! So anyway, here are a few more beach pictures....hard to choose our favorites out of the over 600 shots we took!!!
It was absolutely the best week ever. The boys had way too much fun with the family....playing soccer with Oma and Opa on the beach, playing with Uncle Nick Nick (especially their special "up on the roof" game) and talking and playing with their Emmie M and Mr. Dan all the time! Fun was had by all and the end was bittersweet.
Thanks for the best vacation ever Oma and Opa!! Words and pictures cannot express how much we loved it!

BIG NEWS......
As if life weren't hectic enough at Chez Dalrymple.....Josh is starting a new job. As if that weren't a little hectic enough, he starts 6 DAYS after D3 is born!! That's right, D3 will be born on a Wednesday, likely discharged on Friday and he starts Monday!!!!!
The timing happened all so quickly. We've managed to keep it contained to everyone at the beach so far.
So here's the lowdown....he will be starting as Senior Mechanical Engineer at BD in Sumter, SC on September 27. It's a one hour commute each way so he'll be commuting for a while, but we do plan on moving. He is meeting with the realtor today. We think we will most likely buy some land and build so right now I can think about my dream house!!
We will dearly miss being so close to Oma and Opa, but we really won't be all that far away. We will try to move to the west side of Sumter so we're closer to Columbia. Sumter is a really small town so I NEED to be closer to Columbia. They don't even have a Target...how will we survive??!!
Needless to say I'll also be relying on Oma and Opa a little more after D3 comes home since he'll be on the road more. But frankly, he may not be working any more than he is now, it will just be more time on the road.
So that's our hectic update for now. More beach photos to come soon....maybe I'll have time later today. We've all agreed this is the BEST VACATION EVER!!!! Can't say I want to go home....I've got so much help here and the boys are just having so much fun. They have special games they play with the Emmie M and Uncle Nick. They really are going to be bored when we get home and it's just Mommy who has absolutely no energy!!

Beach Week is Finally Here!!!!!!!!
Saturday morning came and the boys were ready to go to the beach as soon as they woke up.....unfortunately they had to wait until after lunch. It was the LONGEST wait of their short little lives!!
Luckily they managed to nap a little in the car, otherwise I think we would have heard complaints the whole way about how far away we were, and it wasn't even a long drive!!
We arrived before the house was ready so parked at the house anyway and walked back to the beack (the house is RIGHT on the beach). We weren't sure how the boys would like the beach, well they LOVE it!!! The smiles are their little faces were just amazing, a look we won't soon forget. They dove right in, fell in the wave and got stripped down to underwear and diaper boy!! The love the water, the sand, the shells.....
Thanks Oma for planning and giving the best vacation EVER. You've outdone yourself!!! I LOVE everything in my goody bag, such goodies to spoil myself!!!! This just may have to be an annual event...family beach week....
A few pics to enjoy....
