Random Updates
Where to begin....just over a week ago my dear sweet first born turned three years old. It's hard to imagine Jack getting so old!! It was a very quiet birthday as we already had his birthday dinner with Oma and Opa over the weekend. Jack had a "quiet" dinner at home, leftover birthday brownie and got his presents from Mommy and Daddy (clothes and a watch). He is also loving his soccer goal he got from Oma and Opa....my future World Cup player??!! Other than that his birthday seems to have gone by quickly...even only got one other card from my aunt and uncle and that's it. Luckily he is too young to notice, and of course he's having his party (sans presents thank goodness) with Ewan in a couple weeks.
Sean is still growing and changing every day. It looks as though we may actually have a blue eyed kiddo. Josh and I both have brown eyes, but we also both have family members with blue eyes so the recessive genes may be coming through!! That would be three boys with three different eye colors....Jack is hazel, Ewan is brown and Sean will likely be blue!
Halloween is right around the corner and the boys are looking forward to it. Jack is going to be a penguin and Ewan a dinosaur. They seem to be learning what trick or treating is even though we've never told them or taken them before. Oh well, the time was going to come sooner or later. We'll hit the neighborhood parade, have dinner at home and then go to a few houses for fun. Hopefully everyone will cooperate!!
This past weekend Jack and Ewan went to the mountains with Oma and Opa. They had fun at the Biltmore, especially the barn animals!! I think they wore out Oma and Opa, especially since they refused to nap on Saturday (NEVER a pretty sight). Josh and I were busy working on the house since we had potential listing realtors coming by Saturday and Sunday. We got one coat of paint on the porch railing (needs a second coat), cleaned the entire house and decluttered a little, put one coat of paint in part of the master bath.... We got much more done that we ever can with the bigger boys home!!! Not sure how we'll get everything else done though...in shifts I guess.
Friday while the boys were gone we also went and looked at two houses. Things are moving along. It would be nice to move soon just to cut down on Josh's commute and get on with life. The best part was enjoying a quiet dinner out after house hunting. We went to Lilfred's, one of our favorite places (luckily we'll be moving closer to it too)! With only Sean there with us it was an extremely quiet and pleasant meal!!! We enjoyed every minute of it too, from appetizer (crab hushpuppies) to dessert (pound cake ala mode).
Other than that it's still the usual. Trying to survive three young boys and a pushy dog!!! Yesterday I managed to clean Jack and Ewan's closet. Just two more closets to go! Somehow everything is happening all at once...new baby, change of seasons, new job, house hunting, cleaning house to list on the market. Right now I just celebrate every day I survive! Some day I dream of being organized again, this "mess" is driving me nuts!! Granted, most people would call my house clean and not too cluttered, but I know exactly what is out of place and wish I had the time to organize it all. I can only hope we move before this house is on the market.....I can't even fathom keeping it clean and decluttered with 3 small children and a dog!!
I promise to post pictures soon. We should take some for Halloween and hopefully we will get to Boo at the Zoo and the Sandhills Fall Festival this week too. Somehow there just hasn't even been time to take pictures!

Birthday Dinner
Last night Jack celebrated his birthday with Oma and Opa since Opa had to leave town early this morning. We had a wonderful raclette dinner. Jack thought it was pretty cool to grill and broil right at the table!! Jack and Ewan even chowed down on the red snapper we got at the farmer's market that morning. Jack also LOVED his birthday M&M brownie, especially being sung to and blowing out the candle!! I can't believe my first born is going to turn three years old tomorrow.
Pumpkin Patch
Friday I took all three boys with our playgroup to the pumpkin patch. We had a fun story time and then looked at all the pumpkins and picked out several to take home. The pictures aren't as good this year...tricky handling a camera with one hand while holding a baby in another and chasing two very busy toddlers!!!
Fun with Grandma and Grandpa
Jack and Ewan had a fun time with their Grandma and Grandpa. This was the most time they've ever spent with them yet and it was great to see them have so much fun!! Thanks for all the help!!!

Busy Week....
We've been incredibly busy the past week, thus no blogging. So here are some quick updates...
Last Saturday we packed up the whole family and went on a picnic and hike at Sesqui State Park (yes, I know....I should not have been doing that only 10 days post surgery. But the weather was so incredible I couldn't resist, and it certainly wasn't a strenuous hike with all three kiddos).
Sunday Grandma and Grandpa came to town. Jack and Ewan have been having a blast with them all week and they'll be here another week. Every morning they head out for another adventure and come home for naptime...giving me and Sean some alone time. I've gotten some stuff done, although it seems like most of it is laundry. I don't even want to know how many loads I've done this past week. With the change of seasons and a new baby, there is just tons of laundry to do!!
Tuesday Sean had his newborn photo session. He looked adorable of course, though not much like a newborn since he is so big!! The photographer even managed to get some good pics of big brothers with Sean and Mommy and all three boys, despite Jack and Ewan not wanting to cooperate!
Wednesday Sean had his two week checkup and is doing well. He weighed 10lb 5 oz. The doctor was a little concerned that he hadn't gained enough weight so I've been weighing him at home and his is doing just fine.
Today I had my first outing with all three boys by myself and we're all still alive!!! We had a quick trip to Target (biggest challenge getting all four of us to the bathroom). Then we went to the Children's Garden for a picnic and play with friends. That went well and Jack and Ewan were thrilled to see some of their friends again.
Tomorrow's adventure....Grandma and Grandpa watch Jack and Ewan while Josh, Sean and I go to look at a house. We'll see how that goes...it is an interesting house to say the least.

My Model
So much to update and so little time. So for now we'll stick to something we have photos for! Yesterday I worked on Sean's announcement photo. Here are the ones that will NOT be in the announcement...you'll just have to wait until it arrives in your mailbox to see it!!!
A special great big thanks goes out to Oma for making the announcements!! I did handmade ones for both Jack and Ewan, however, this time around with 2 toddlers to keep up with and growing a monster size baby in my belly I just didn't have the energy to make them this time around. So Oma volunteered to make them for Sean, after all we don't want to ignore the last baby!!!
