Jack's First......

ear infection!!  That's right, at 3 months shy of his third birthday Jack just got his first ear infection.  Everyone at the doctor's office was amazed he's gone this long without ever having one...never been on an anti-biotic in his life!!!

Late last week he got a cold/cough and of course Ewan got it too.  Then Jack complained about his ear hurting.  As suspected it was an ear infection.  Oh well, couldn't avoid it forever!!!  Needless to say Jack and Ewan have been whiny and fussy with their colds and driving me insane.  They also have had several days of no or short naps, not a pretty sight for anybody!!!  Ewan gets extra whiny and cranky while Jack gets full of the devil and is a holy terror.  I'm worn out!

We've been lucky to have Oma.  Not sure what we would do without her!!  I certainly wouldn't have 3 kids so close in age if she didn't live near us!!  She's watched the boys twice this week while I went to the OB and got a haircut....and she started helping me clean.  Needless to say this huge belly gets in the way in addition to the hip and sciatic pain so she mopped the floors and cleaned the bathrooms.  Your my hero Oma!!!!

We may be 9 weeks away from D3's arrival but nearly everything is in place.  Clothes all washed and hung up, swing out, car seat ready to go in the car...just need to raise the crib and put in the bumper and gather up the last of the things we need.  It's a short list and Oma already has her pick of what she wants to get D3 before his/her arrival.  I just ordered some new cloth diapers.  Want to change to something else/easier for the last munchkin so I'll test a few out on Ewan and if we like them we'll need lots more when D3 gets here.

That's life here...surviving some sick yet rambunctious toddlers, the heat and a growing belly with lots of aches and pains.....

Glad to be of help! The smiles on those cute faces makes it all worthwhile.

Your comments bring back memories of raising three just 3 years apart but trust me, it gets better. I enjoy watching the boys grow via your blog and I envy your Mom being able to see it in person. Every little whine is music to her ears, believe me. We had our first great-grandchild in November and at 8 months old he's been a blessing. We've missed having a baby in the house. Good luck to you and Josh in the coming weeks and we'll be watching for D3's arrival! Love you all!
