As Ewan's teeth were coming in I was always a little confused by his lateral and eye teeth on the upper left side. At first we thought his eye tooth came in before the lateral tooth, yet it didn't look much like an eye tooth. Then the lateral tooth came in, but it was an odd shape tooth as well.
So the other day I took another look to get his tooth update (he's also now up to three two year molars). Then I noticed his "real" eye tooth finally coming in. You got it, that means he has an extra tooth!!! It was indeed his lateral tooth that came in first, then the extra tooth.
Today I took him to the dentist to let her have a look and get an opinion. As I was holding him in the chair I noticed another point of a tooth coming behind the extra tooth!!! So now we have more mystery....our guess is it's still the extra tooth coming in with a pointy tip. As of now it's not doing any major damage and the only way to tell for sure what is going on is to take a full head x-ray.............and needless to say Ewan would never sit still for that! So we wait until he is 3 or so to take an x-ray, assuming no major damage is done before then.
Our Ewan is indeed a mystery sometimes!!!
In other news.....Jack has now started climbing over the baby gates at the top and bottom of the steps. Guess we can't keep him contained anymore!! Both boys are growing like weeds, I'll have to get some pictures this weekend while we're in the mountains. The heat continues....I really know how to enjoy pregnancies...with Jack it was the hottest August on record, with D3 we just had the hottest June on record!
